Growing up in New York State’s scenic Hudson Valley, Aurora loved spending time outside with her family’s 5 goats, handsome horse, and other funky animals. Her mother taught her to Hand-Sew at the young age of 4; ingraining in her a love for creative handwork that she has carried with her all her life.
Her design process developed as she collected pieces of tiny fabric scraps saved from larger projects. One day, she gathered all these scraps and sewed them into a replica of her pet goat Topsy.
That’s when she realized how much she enjoyed creating toys. The perfect combination of creativity and zero-waste design was born. Her pieces are unique and one-of-a-kind, just like her special pets at home.
She knew it was time to share her creative gifts with the world. Since that moment she’s been sewing pedal to the medal, heart to the hands invested in Aurora’s Place.
